Craig S. Johnson, M.D.

A native Oklahoman, Dr. Johnson graduated from OU in Norman and earned his medical degree from the OU Health Sciences Center. He completed his general surgery residency on the OUHSC Tulsa campus. Dr. Johnson completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dr. Johnson is especially interested in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and in the care of patients with rectal cancer. His use of the J-pouch or ileoanal procedure, has improved the quality of life for many patients after surgery.

Dr. Johnson has specialized in colorectal surgery since 1992 and has practiced colorectal surgery at Surgical Associates since 1996.
